What Is RPA

The software technology simplifies the creation, configuration and management of software robots that are designed to mimic human behaviour while interacting with digital systems and software. It is called robotic process automation. RPA is based on both artificial intelligence and machine learning. This software technology can perform a number of tasks, such as comprehending what is on the screen, navigating the system, recognising data, extracting the data and filling forms just like humans do. However, unlike humans, software robots can complete tasks much more quickly and efficiently without needing to take a pause or break to refresh and relax.

Traditionally, in organisations and institutes, the typical office tasks were performed by humans but with RPA, the management and handling of the data can be done faster and easily by using software without human interference. It is like a bot that holds the capability of automating human tasks at a much higher rate than a human.

These RPA software bots can perform tasks such as interaction with in-house applications, websites, and user portals. These may include actions like logging into an application, filling in data, opening emails and attachments, calculating and finishing the tasks and eventually logging out.

Robotic process automation is a virtual-based working system that helps in completing repetitive manual computing and all the other typical office-related tasks. Further, it also helps humans, especially in tasks that require judgement, reasoning, emotional intelligence, and interactions with the customer.
