Is there a way to securely transfer loan repayments?

Good morning everyone! Recently, one of my friends was under duress because one of his loan repayments did not get transferred to her loan provider. We do not know what happened to the payment itself. Although her bank was able to track it down, it led to a lot of tension. I have my own commercial loan repayment coming up next week. Is there any way we can make certain that the transaction is not disrupted on our end? It was a really stressful time for my friends, and I know I cannot afford to lose a transaction. Are there any recommendations you guys have that I can forward to my loan provider?
